Goizper is a leading company when it comes to providing differentiated solutions for power transmission components and has the most complete range of electromagnetic brakes and clutches.
The fields of application for the range of electromagnetic brakes and clutches are diverse: machine tools, machinery for metal cutting and forming, access control, etc.
At GOIZPER we manufacture different types of electromagnetic clutches, ranging from toothed clutches and brakes, through to single disc, multidisc and safety brakes.
The transmission is achieved by coupling the front teeth of the driving part with the corresponding teeth of the driven part. The disengagement time is short and its residual torque is zero. Since this type of clutch does not allow slippage, sizing is very important and its transmissible torque must be higher than the resulting torque or the torque corresponding to the maximum torque of the engine. The clutches can be mounted horizontally or vertically and in the second case, the drive plate occupies the lower position.
They are self-regulating within wide limits and their torque, once they have undergone the initial wear and tear adjustment, remains unchanged. In the disengaged position, they have no residual torque thanks to a spring built into the armature. They are dry-running and the friction discs must be protected against oil and grease projections.
Due to its design, the magnetic field created by the coil does not pass through the discs and therefore the response times are very fast. In the case of a multi-plate clutch, the magnetic body is mounted on the motor axle, i.e. in continuous rotation, so as not to increase the moment of inertia of the masses to be moved during each manoeuvre. Its main feature is that it has sintered discs that can operate either dry or in an oil bath.
The brakes, in the absence of electric current, are spring-applied, which is why they are called negative or safety brakes. When electric current is applied to them, the brake is released.
